This is an opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to best serve furry friends, clients and staff in a rewarding way.
Are you a new grad looking to practice medicine and or enhance your surgical skills? Would an opportunity to learn many surgeries interest you? If so, please read ahead. If not that's okay, we are still looking for a general practice associate veterinarian. Part time or relief vet is okay as well. We are a busy multidoctor practice looking to hire a great associate veterinarian to join our practice in the city of Fremont in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. Our Hospital is located in between to major freeways the 880 and 680 in the Southern East Bay. We are just 15-20 minutes away from Sunnyvale, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Palo Alto, the Dumbarton Bridge, Hayward, and 45-60 mins away from Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, And San Francisco, and 2 hours from UC Davis.
Veterinarian is expected to diagnose, treat, and practice preventative care to our clients’ pet's. Our clinic specializes in dogs, cats and occasionally smaller animals. Your day-to-day as a Vet includes wellness care, performing surgeries on injured animals, treating wounds, spaying and neutering animals and prescribing medicine. If you love being around animals and are committed to offering them the best possible healthcare, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll act as the point of contact for pet owners, whether it’s to treat illnesses and injuries or to advise on animal nutrition and general care.
Our ideal candidate would be an individual who is and that can be self-motivated, compassionate, reliable, confident with clients, loving, understanding, and whom focuses on pet care. An ideal candidate does not necessarily have to be proficient in performing most surgeries but eager to learn while under the direct supervision of our senior practice owner and veterinarian of 37+ years. Our senior doctor performs many surgeries like splenectomy, cystotomy, enterotomy, gastrotomy, mastectomy, lumpectomy, amputation, cherry eye repair, entropion, enucleation, cosmetic ear surgery, aural hematoma, and most soft tissue surgeries, rabbit spay & neuter, caesarian surgeries, femoral head ostectomy, limb and tail amputations, but our complicated orthopedic surgeries are performed by a traveling surgeon.
Our caseload is diverse and consisting of wellness preventive care, internal medicine, surgery and some urgent care & emergencies. We primarily see dogs, cats, and some exotic furry feet oh and some feathered friends for mani-pedi's and wing clipping. Our hospital is equipped with in-house Idexx lab machines, Idexx digital radiographs, ECG, and ultrasound, a dental suite with midmark progeny digital dental radiographs, in-house ultrasound machine, 2 table surgery suite, 3 exam rooms, 1 treatment room with 2 wet tables, and we use cornerstone for our patient management, and also use many of Idexx softwares like PACS, VetConnectPlus, PetHealthNetwork Pro, Smartflow is in the implementation stage.
We offer low cost spay & neuter services to a few Rescue organizations and spay and neuter for the Local Animal Shelter, and of course they also bring them for any vet care needed from time to time.
Our senior doctor here is the owner of this practice so practicing medicine at our hospital can be fun and not so demanding. Our current office hours and days of operation are Monday-Friday 8AM-7 PM, Saturdays 8-5 PM, and currently closed Sundays. We may eventually open Sundays and close later on weekdays
