Mazie's Mission is a veterinary practice unlike any other. Our demographic is strictly homeless animals, meaning that we only see pets in the shelter or rescue system. We are a full-service hospital with in-house bloodwork, digital radiology, a large surgical suite and dental machine. We are able to provide exceptional veterinary care just like a private practice but WITHOUT THE CHALLENGES OF PRIVATE PRACTICE. All of our clients are thoroughly vetted and must fill out an application before becoming a partner. 

We have a heavy schedule of interesting skin cases, trauma and surgeries (NOT just spay and neuter). We also have an in-house board certified orthopedic surgeon who does all of the fracture repairs, FHO, TPLOs, and soft tissue surgeries (thoracic and abdominal) we are unable to perform ourselves. 

Not only will you be treating really challenging cases, THERE IS NO WEEKEND DUTY. Our support staff is excellent and several employees have been with the hospital for 6+ years. Our facility is 4000 square feet with 4 exam rooms and plenty of space for another veterinarian.

If that hasn't convinced you, our work-life balance is unparalleled. You will work 4 days a week with NO WEEKEND DUTY. This translates to ~32-36 hours a week.

We are located in Carrollton, Texas which is less than 20 miles north of Dallas. We are minutes away from two of the fastest growing cities in the United States, Frisco and McKinney. Frisco is known for their excellent schools and family friendly entertainment including a soccer and baseball stadium. You will have plenty of family time as there is NO WEEKEND DUTY. 

Salary will be based on surgical experience and enthusiasm. Salary is not based on production so there is no pressure of average client transaction, however, there are several opportunities for bonuses throughout the year. 

Mazie's was founded to fight overpopulation and the euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats. We are able to offer veterinary care to other non-profits and shelters allowing them to treat more pets, therefore raising the adoption rate. We also have several outreach programs helping domestic violence victims and seniors with pets.
