VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our fast-paced, AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor 24-hour Emergency and GP practice in Sacramento, California.  

We’ve been serving the local community for more than 50 years!   At VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center, you will enjoy a beautiful and spacious working environment and have access to in-house ultrasound, digital radiology, laboratory equipment, and a newly furnished ICU.

We value a work-life balance and are offering a flex-overnight schedule for the right candidate to work with our other ER doctors on a rotating 3 days on/6 day off schedule.   The shifts are from 8 PM - 9 AM and includes patient rounds in the morning.

The right candidate will have worked in an emergency practice, is comfortable working alone, and is capable/willing of performing emergency surgeries.

The Sacramento region has an ideal year round climate with numerous recreational options, including hiking, mountain biking, water sports, snow skiing, wine tasting, and camping.   It is only an hour and a half drive from San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, or Napa Valley with all their accompanying activities.   Sacramento is a large metropolitan city with a small town feel.   There are many world-class restaurants, fun outdoor cafes, and numerous art theaters to visit.

Requirements:

• A licensed California Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent
• 1-3 years of emergency experience preferred
