Director of Clinical Services (DVM)

This role serves as the workflow and medical director of our imaging modalities, leading a team of techs, interns, and residents in a tightly coordinated effort to improve patient outcomes with speed and accuracy of service.

Full-time (40-hours per week)

Location: 2 positions open - Round Rock, TX & Salt Lake City, Utah

Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 per year plus signing bonus and performance incentives

About SVI

Sage Veterinary Imaging is a growing outpatient diagnostic imaging group, headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, with a second location in Salt Lake City, Utah. We get answers for pets and their vets using next-level human-quality 3T MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound technology, along with our digital cytology lab. Our clinics are ACVR-accredited teaching institutions that train veterinary interns and residents to become radiologists. We have recently added a comprehensive neurosurgery service to provide treatment for our patients immediately following their imaging.

Job Summary

This role requires a DVM and an active license to practice medicine in Utah and/or Texas. The Director of Clinical Services is an integral member of the veterinary management team at Sage Veterinary Imaging. The Director of Clinical Services directly leads our clinical care team of intern/resident doctors and techs, coordinating medical care and imaging services from the time the patient checks in to the time they are discharged. You will lead a smooth and profitable operation by maximizing patient throughput in your department, while managing costs and driving successful outcomes for patients. This leadership position is integral to supporting our clinical staff and creating a clinical environment based on the highest quality standards for imaging and medical care of our patients.

Role Summary

• DVM and licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas and/or Utah
• 2-5 years of experience in a clinical staff management role
• Excellent communication skills and high EQ under pressure
• Plans and controls the flow of patients through imaging modalities
• Manages patient care and quickly makes decisions under time-constraints
• Creates the clinical staff schedule and manages labor costs to budget
• Ensures timesheets are accurately completed and submitted for all clinical staff
• Oversees and approves hospital inventory and controls procedure-based costs
• Participates in the planning and budget maintenance process
• Acts as a champion for change and identifies, documents, shares, and promotes best practices
