Love the flexibility of relief but miss the benefits of a traditional full-time veterinarian role? Want the guidance and support of a team while maintaining your independence? Want to help fellow veterinarians maintain work/life balance? Curo Pet Care, a local, family-owned and operated veterinary company, is looking to add a permanent relief veterinarian to the team to support our hospitals in San Francisco and the broader North and South Bay areas (San Mateo, Marin, Sonoma/Santa Rosa, East Bay). You will have the opportunity to develop a schedule that works ideally for you while having access to a broad set of hospitals for a varied clinical experience. All of this with the support of a larger organization in the Curo HQ team.
Why choose us:
Curo Pet Care is a local family business that partners with entrepreneurial-minded veterinarians to co-own and co-operate best-in-class veterinary hospitals. We know every practice is unique and treat them as such, allowing our partner doctors to make decisions that are best for their teams, clients, and patients. All of our practices offer state-of-the-art tools including: full in-house laboratory suites, digital radiography, ultrasound, dental radiology, and full anesthetic patient monitors.

Opportunities to learn about business operational aspects of the clinics are also possible but not required.
What you’ll bring:
- Passion for helping pets and their humans alike;
- Ability to interact and communicate (verbally and non-verbally) with professionalism, empathy, and respect;
- Strong sense of personal accountability and reliability;
- Ability to interact with diverse teams and gain their trust quickly;
- A valid California veterinary license or the ability to obtain one;
- A current DEA license or the ability to obtain one;
- 3+ years of experience as a small animal veterinarian.
What you’ll get:
For this role, we are offering a flexible schedule where our veterinarian can choose at least 12 (and ideally more!) shifts per month at our partner hospitals.
In addition to a flexible schedule and generous salary and bonus, we offer the following benefits:
