Two Dogs and a Cat Pet Club, located in Overland Park, Kansas, is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team! We are looking for someone with an interest and experience in surgery and dentistry.

About our clinic: Two Dogs and a Cat Pet Club is a full-service small animal general practice. We are fully equipped with in house IDEXX lab machines and we use Antech as our reference lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and cold laser. We utilize the services of a traveling radiology technician to perform abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms once a week. All our exam rooms have computers, so our technicians are able to take notes during each appointment and our doctors can review radiographs with clients. We are paperless and use Cornerstone for our electronic medical records. Our hospital also has doggie daycare, dog and cat boarding, dog training, and grooming. We are always adding to our amazing client base because of our additional services offered.

Our doctors perform a variety of soft tissue surgeries, with each patient required to have pre-op lab work, an IV catheter, IV fluids, and dental radiography (if applicable) during the procedure. We refer our orthopedic cases to specialists in the area.

Most importantly, our support staff are incredible and we utilize them to the fullest. Our technicians are proficient in dental radiography, phlebotomy, cystocentesis, surgery prep, anesthetic monitoring, and assisting in exam rooms. Our doctors are well supported, since we currently have 2 technicians per doctor, a dedicated surgery technician, as well as several floating technicians. We have worked hard to build and maintain a positive team culture and light-hearted environment at Two Dogs and a Cat. Our team works hard, but we all enjoy working together and having fun.

Our doctors work a 4-day work week and rotate Saturdays, which is usually 2 per month. There are no on-call responsibilities, including with our boarding facility, since we have several emergency hospitals nearby. You can learn more about our fun-loving practice at twodogsandacatpetclub.com.

Ideal qualifications:

Several years of experience preferred
Kansas Veterinary License – active and in good standing
