Do you love tacos? Good! We do, too, and we are a very food motivated team!
Eastgate Veterinary Clinic, located in Corvallis, Oregon, is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team! All experience levels are welcome to apply. Our doctors have varied interests, which we encourage and support.
About our clinic: Eastgate Veterinary Clinic is full-service small animal practice, offering the best in medical and surgical care. We have been serving the Benton County community for almost 70 years and have built a fantastic reputation within the community. We predominantly treat dogs and cats, but two of our associates also treat a wide variety of exotic species, including everything from a snake to hamster to Koi fish! It is not a requirement to treat exotics if that is not any area of interest for you. Our associate, Dr. Robyn Lantz, is TCVM Acupuncture Certified through IVAS and TCVM certified in herbal therapy and food therapy through the Chi Institute, allowing us to offer these additional services to our patients. All our doctors also utilize our cold laser machine.
Our diagnostic equipment includes digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. Dr. Lantz performs our diagnostic ultrasounds and we also utilize the mobile ultrasonographer service, Sonopath, or refer to our sister hospital, Willamette Veterinary Hospital. We would happily welcome any candidates with an interest and passion for imaging. We use Cornerstone for our electronic medical record software. Most importantly, we have phenomenal, experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care. Every doctor is well-supported by technicians and assistants in appointments and in surgery. To round out the group, our practice manager, Kate, keeps us all on track and our practice running smoothly.
Our doctors perform a variety of soft tissue surgeries, dentistry, and exotic surgeries. We are also very lucky to have Dr. Jilinda Lewis, who has extensive surgical training, available to come in and help with more advanced soft tissue surgeries. We refer our orthopedic cases to her at her main location and our other sister hospital, Ark Animal Hospital. All our patients undergoing anesthesia receive an IV catheter, IV fluids, and are carefully monitored and recovered by our skilled surgical technicians.
At EVC, we have worked very hard to create an easy-going, compassionate team and are looking for a candidate who will support and embrace our collaborative environment. We value an attitude of constant improvement and the willingness to foster the family atmosphere we have built. Our focus is on excellent quality care, preventive medicine, building relationships, education, and positive experiences for our clients and staff. Our internal motto is “comfortable and cared for,” which rings true for our clients, patients, and our team members. The predictable schedule and flexible nature of the team allows for a healthy work/life balance. We have potlucks at work and only being 2 minutes from downtown allows our team to readily enjoy the incredible food scene Corvallis has to offer. I told you we are food motivated! We genuinely enjoy spending time as a team outside of work. A sense of humor is appreciated, as we do have some pranksters on our team. Just ask our medical director, Dr. Josiah Moses, who is still finding rubber ducks in various nooks and crannies of his desk and car.
Our practice is open Monday – Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a 90-minute break mid-day. We can be flexible with scheduling, but the schedule would ideally be Monday – Thursday. There are no on-call responsibilities, because Willamette Veterinary Hospital is only 3 miles down the road and we have a great working relationship with them. You can learn more about our amazing practice at evc.vet.
