The Animal Hospital of Waynesville, located in Western North Carolina, is seeking an Veterinarian to join our awesome team at a practice that is Fear Free Certified, AAHA accredited, and Cat Friendly Certified!

- Currently undergoing a whole hospital renovation including 2 new exam rooms, a double dental suite, and a dedicated doctor office
- Mentorship program for new and recent grads with personalized training programs according to your needs
- Several ERs and specialty hospitals within a 2 hour radius allowing us to refer when needed, but still allowing us take on difficult/interesting cases
- High Staff-to-Doctor ratio -- allowing the Doctors to focus on Doctor-related tasks
- Specific shift available daily that sees Walk-Ins only, allowing to learn quickly and do exciting work with emergencies
- Partnership with local Shelter and Animal Services to help serve our Community by treating adoptable pets and strays

Job responsibilities
- Perform examinations, diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures.
- Build a rapport with the clients and patients, communicating with the clients and keeping them up-to-date on the findings/treatment plans, etc. Developing trust from our clients and providing continuity of care.
- Minimize the patient’s stress, practice using fear free standards.
- Maintain patient medical records, follow up with clients on the pet’s lab work in a timely manner.
- Always learning new medical information and staying current on the changes in veterinary medicine.
- Assisting in the development and growth of the whole team to ensure we are providing the highest standard of care.
