Powered Research is looking for a full-time Ophthalmology In-Vivo Scientist. We are seeking an individual that will ensure high quality data capture, analysis and interpretation for our rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities Include:
· Performing and developing pre-clinical, electroretinography (ERG) and optokinetic (OKT) assessments to evaluate new therapies for retinal degenerative diseases.
· Performing pre-clinical, high resolution, optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging to evaluate new drug therapies for anterior and posterior segment diseases.
· Analyzing and interpreting data acquired, and presenting it to Study Directors in a clear concise manner to be communicated to clients.
· Training technicians to support data acquisition ensuring protocol objectives are full filled.
· Interacting with the Director of Research, Study Directors and clients to communicate scientific findings.
· Supporting other in-life imaging and model procedures.
· Other activities as assigned
· Ph.D or DVM with 2+ years postdoctoral or M.S. degree in Life Sciences with 5+ years in relevant field
· Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, and image analysis software.
· Ability to read and understand scientific papers and protocols and provide new capabilities
· Prior experience with animal work preferred
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to clearly communicate in written and verbal forms
· Willingness and ambition to learn new techniques and take on additional responsibilities
