KCHA is the largest and most lifesaving animal shelter in the state of West Virginia. Located in Charleston, West Virginia, KCHA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that contracts with county and municipal partners to provide animal law enforcement and sheltering services. In addition to animal sheltering and adoption, KCHA operates a low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic, Fix Charleston. The first of its kind in West Virginia, KCHA is recognized nationally for its commitment to animal welfare. KCHA serves 15,000 pets annually and relies on generous supporters for 85% of its funding.
