Rochelle Veterinary Hospital, located in Rochelle, IL, is looking for a part-time or full-time Veterinarian to join our team! All experience levels are welcome to apply.
About our clinic: Rochelle Veterinary Hospital is full-service small animal hospital offering the best in medical and surgical care. We have been a pillar in our community and have built an amazing and loyal client base. Our practice is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiography, therapeutic laser, surgical laser, Midmark dental machine, and Cornerstone for our electronic medical records. We have a certified ultrasonagrapher come in every other week for our diagnostic ultrasounds and echocardiograms. All our staff use Fear Free techniques, we have separate dog and cat entrances, and we have designated cat and dog exam rooms. Our hospital also offers boarding and grooming services.
Our doctors perform a variety of routine, advanced soft tissue surgeries, and dentistry. We currently refer our orthopedic surgical cases to specialty facilities in the area, but we would love to expand our services to offer in-house orthopedic procedures. Our surgery suite contains surgical laser, warming equipment, monitoring equipment, and we have one technician and one assistant monitoring during every surgery. We also have therapeutic laser, which is used frequently for many conditions, including post operatively and for arthritic patients.
Most importantly, we have a well-trained and well-utilized support staff. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do, including taking radiographs, placing IV catheters, intubating, monitoring, and medicating patients. Every doctor is well-supported with a 2-3:1 technician to doctor ratio. We have traveling laptops to use in exam rooms and our technicians are trained to get a history, TPR, and put their notes and each patient’s vitals directly into Cornerstone.
At Rochelle, our medical director, Dr. Nicole Marquardt, and her team have worked very hard to create an easy-going, compassionate team and are looking for a candidate who will support and embrace our collaborative environment. We value an attitude of constant improvement and the willingness to foster the family atmosphere we have built. Our focus is on excellent quality care, preventive medicine, building relationships, education, and positive experiences for our clients and staff. A sense of humor is also appreciated, as we like to laugh, have fun, and we genuinely enjoy spending time together outside of work. Furthermore, Dr. Marquardt is a Rochelle local and loves giving back to the community.
Our practice is open Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm and Saturdays, 8 am to 12 pm. Appointments are scheduled from 8 – 12 pm and 1-5 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. We can be flexible with the schedule allowing for either part-time or full-time hours. Our highest need for coverage is on Thursdays and Fridays. There are no on-call responsibilities. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with an interest and experience in exotics, because there is a huge need in this area. You can learn more about our amazing practice at rochellevet.com.
