Colby Community College is accepting applications for an adjunct Veterinary Nursing Instructor in the On-Campus and Distance Learning Veterinary Nursing programs. Must have the ability to implement strategies that motivate students to complete course objectives. In addition to on-campus and online instruction, the successful candidate will assess student learning. An understanding of learning technologies and the use of multi-media to enhance learning and critical thinking is a must. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse student population are necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience in working with veterinary clinics.
- Must possess the ability to motivate and inspire students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
- Kansas license or ability to obtain the license prior to starting.
- A minimum of four years of veterinary experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience teaching experience preferred.
- Experience with mixed animal practice (including cattle and horses) preferred.
SALARY
$600 per credit hour taught.
