The Melrose Vet is a BRAND NEW NON-CORPORATE practice looking to add a full time veterinary associate to our team.

Located in the heart of West Hollywood, we are excited to offer the best veterinary services to Los Angeles, CA and the surrounding areas including Beverly Hills and Hollywood.

This is the perfect opportunity for new grads or experienced veterinarians to work with the state of the art diagnostic and medical/surgical equipment. New grads are encouraged to apply as Dr. Grewal would be delighted for the opportunity to mentor a new team member and an experienced veterinarian will fit in effortlessly. 

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Examine, diagnose, recommend treatment and treat animals
• Monitor treatment for animals and adjust accordingly
• Use x-ray machine
• Preform ultrasound
• Vaccinate animals
• Soft tissue surgeries
• Prescribe medications need for treatment
• Develop a course of action for treatment and communicate it to owners

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine 
• DEA preferred, but not required
• Active license as a veterinarian without contingencies
• All experience levels are welcome
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Feel and express compassion for animals
• Strong interpersonal skills when working with teammates and clients
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during under pressure 
• A team player who is flexible and adaptable to  learn new techniques and treatments
• Critical thinker able to offer alternative ideas when necessary
