WHO WE ARE:

Welcome to Fremont Veterinary Hospital! We are a family-owned and operated veterinary practice located in Canon City.  Without corporate oversight, we allow our doctors to practice freely which allows us to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. We have been serving Fremont County and the surrounding areas since 1951. At this busy, three doctor practice, we treat small animals only and offer the latest in hospital design and technology to serve much of Southern Colorado, including: Canon City, Penrose, Florence, Westcliffe, and Pueblo communities. We are proud to offer a 5,600 square foot facility with digital radiography (dental and general), Idexx for in house labs (including urinalysis machine), ultrasound, and laser therapy (both therapeutic and surgical). We strive to incorporate Fear-Free techniques into our patient care daily.

We are looking to add a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinarian to meet our client's and patient's needs as well bring forth new specialities and interests.

Our well-established practice with an outstanding reputation here in our community offers an updated facility to provide the best care possible.  With long standing veterinarians, CVTs and assistants, we are able to provide the community with a familiar face during their pet’s care. 

Currently, we offer high quality dentistry/oral surgery, ultrasonography, and some orthopedic surgeries. We welcome any additional specialty that a new staff member would provide and encourage diversity of skill sets. Our doctors take pride in the quality of medicine that we provide to our patients and collaborate as a team to discuss patient care for the best outcome for our clients. 

Mentorship is available as needed/desired depending on your comfort level. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

POSITION DETAILS:

• Four day work week with rotating Saturdays (one per month)
• NO on call

All of our surgical patients are monitored with the latest pulse oximetry, EKG devices, and blood pressure machines. Our doctors and technicians have had extensive training in dentistry, including bonding and dental radiographs. Our in-house lab is fully equipped to do blood tests, fecal analysis, and urinalysis, which eliminates the wait for much-needed results. We also have radiographic and ultrasound capabilit...ies to get a diagnosis in a timely manner.
