VCA Oso Creek Animal Hospital & Emergency Center, VCA’s leading GP & Emergency practice serving south Texas, is seeking a veterinarian (non-boarded) to join our team as full-time Hospitalist. Oso Creek is a high-volume general practice offering Small Animal Emergency Medicine and Wellness for our patients as well as local referrals that are unable to travel to San Antonio or Houston.
This is a unique, opportunity for an emergency veterinarian or primary care veterinarian to grow their skills in intensive case management.
We are seeking a Hospitalist to work 7am – 4pm, 4 days per week to cover inpatient responsibilities. The Hospitalists supervise the hospitalized patients and the implementation of their treatment plans created by the admitting doctors and medically manage changes with patient status.
Our hospital offers a large, dedicated support staff and a team of doctors with varied interests and skills. We have a culture of cooperative teamwork approach to our cases, which allows the best care for every patient. We are an AAHA accredited, feline friendly, multi-doctor general and emergency practice. We feature a newly-built, state of the art facility that includes separate orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery suites as well as a talented team that is dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care and exceptional client service.
Additionally, our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, a Covidien Force Triad, 2 Class IV Companion lasers, rigid endoscopy, flexible video scope, in-house lab, ultrasound, and a well-equipped dental suite. We also offer certified pain management, medical acupuncture, chiropractic care, and laser therapy.
