Downtown Animal Hospital is a privately-owned small animal clinic located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. We are seeking a full-time or part- time veterinarian to join our team. New grads welcome! We are the first and oldest veterinary clinic in the state but are equipped with the technologies of a modern practice. The clinic is near quaint shops and restaurants of downtown Lake Charles, where the lake can be seen with just a short walk. We have a wonderful, friendly staff and excellent clientele.

Downtown Animal Hospital offers in-house Idexx laboratory services, digital radiology, a new Universal S9 ultrasound, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, laser therapy, dentistry, and acupuncture. We have 30-minute appointments and encourage complicated cases to be dropped off so there is plenty of time to be committed to each patient for them to receive the best care.  The hospital is open Monday through Friday 7:30-5:30 and Saturday 8:00-12:00pm. We are closed on major holidays. Benefits include vacation days, stipend for CE, stipend for health insurance, license fees paid, and malpractice paid. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
