Our nurses are utilized in surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, radiology, in-patient and outpatient care and pharmacy management. To facilitate successful patient care, our nurses are supported by their own team of ward assistants who help with husbandry, restraint and more!
Job Type: Full-time and Part Time Positions Available
Workweek: Variable; consists of 3-4 shifts per week, including some weekends. Shifts are 10-12 hours in length.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of veterinary practices, procedures and terminology.
Ability to appropriately handle, lift and restrain dogs and cats using low stress restraint and handling techniques. Ability to train other team members on appropriate restraint and handling.
Ability to perform veterinary medical procedures (i.e. venipuncture, radiology, IV catheter placement, drug calculations, administer medications & fluids, and assess & triage patients) under the supervision of a Veterinarian.
