Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital in Granby, CT is seeking a large animal veterinarian with strength and interest in large animal wellness, preventative, and emergency medicine. A strong interest and expertise in lameness is a plus! Three to five years of experience is preferred, however, newly graduating veterinarians are encouraged to apply.
Our privately owned, 9 doctor mixed animal practice focuses on high quality medicine, teamwork, and customer service. The large animal division is comprised of approximately 85% equine, 5% bovine, with the remaining 10% small ruminants, porcine and camelids.
The successful candidate will be provided a fully stocked ambulatory vehicle, assigned a technician, and offered a generous benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, you will also receive 23% of your production. Liability and Disability insurance is included. Licenses, AVMA, AAEP, and CVMA dues as well as a $2500.00 continuing education allowance are all paid by our practice. A 15K sign on bonus, 15k relocation bonus and a $300.00 a month for 1 year housing stipend is offered with a signed contract of employment.
