Our Pacific Care Pet Emergency & Specialty team is seeking an additional Emergency veterinarian for our 24-hour practice consisting of emergency walk-ins and transfers as well as hospitalized in house specialty referral patients (Internal Medicine ICU & Surgical Recovery). This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment that fosters collaboration, continued learning, skill improvement and teamwork.
We seek a compassionate, dedicated overnight doctor looking to complete their schedule with anywhere from 8-12 shifts each month, a 3-day work week! We also offer a 4:1 Tech/Doctor ratio for consistent support. Canine and feline only.
OVERNIGHT / ER / SPECIALTY 24 HOUR experience is required, with a preference to those that have completed internships and/or residency programs in Emergency / Internal Medicine / Surgery and a proven track record with references.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly as part of a team; Ability to work 6 PM to 8 AM schedule. Must be able to think under pressure, make rapid decisions, triage, clarify options to clients through clear communication, and do all with emotional intelligence.
You must enjoy people & pets, with a commitment to the human-animal bond. Ability to direct and oversee the work of veterinary technicians as needed.
Must be technologically savvy, able to grasp new practice management software systems, electronic medical records. Must be comfortable with in-house labs, DR, interpreting DR images that come from outside practices etc.
