Brentwood Family Pet Carelocated in Brentwood, CA (NorCal next to the Bay Area) is looking for a Veterinarian to join our practice.
For over 20 years, it has been the mission at Brentwood Family Pet Care to love your pets like our clients do.
We also focus on making sure our doctors have as much input as possible - flexible scheduling support your work-life balance, Doctor discussions and review for Capex dollars each year for new equipment, full control over drop-off discretion, roundtables for suggestions, and much more.
New Grad doctors or those that seek a collaborative environment will find a great home here with an experienced team with a passion for learning and knowledge sharing.
This genuine care and love of learning extends to our entire team as well - we sponsor many of our Techs for school for RVT, and we do lots of outings each year for team bonding.
About the hospital and position:
5-doctor progressive practice (hiring for volume; can support at least 6)
Work-life balance:
usually 3-4 day work weeks for full-time (part-time and relief available also) - let us know your preferred schedule and let's talk!
NO weekends or after-hours responsibility
all drop-offs are up to you - complete control over your schedule (no UC/ER)
2:1 Tech to Dr. ratio at minimum - we also have a surgery float
Cornerstone for electronic records (paper lite)
fabulous mentorship from the whole team - new grads and seasoned DVMS welcome!
lots of specialty Doctor collaboration
2:1 technician to doctor average ratio with extra support if needed
In house lab work with Idexx equipment
7 exam rooms, 1 surgical suite, new ultrasound, digital x-rays, lots of cool equipment
90% dogs, 10% cats roughly; no pocket pets or exotics
AAHA accreditation in process (2023 evaluation date)
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice
