Need better work/life balance, a practice that fosters teaching & education, and the ability to see many different species or just what you like?!? Look no further! We are a growing mixed animal rural private practice seeking a full-time small or mixed animal associate veterinarian! 

Our team currently consists of 2 full-time doctors that are able to focus on the areas they prefer. We are located in York, South Carolina, just 45 minutes from downtown Charlotte, NC and a few hours from the mountains or the beach. Our newly renovated and growing hospital is fully equipped with a complete in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, surgical and dental suites and more. We also offer boarding at our facility. We have an amazing staff that is cohesive, knowledgeable, and functions as a team. Our technicians are highly trained and perform all of the technical skills, allowing the veterinarians to focus on being the doctor with a 2 techs:1 doctor ratio currently. 

Our hours of operation are 8-6 Monday through Friday, with staggered doctor start times, 2 hours blocked for lunch and callbacks, and blocks throughout the day to catch up on notes. You would be scheduled to work 36 to 38 hours per week with a full day off during the week. Our associates have 1 surgery day per week, and three days of appointments. Large Animal and house calls are also scheduled one or two days a week per doctor. There would be no weekends, after hours, or on-call required as we have a local ER. We offer 8 days of PTO and additional paid time off (and stipend) for continuing education annually. We are also very flexible with scheduling. 

We pride ourselves on teaching and education; we have had many senior veterinary externs over the years and we hired our current associate as a new graduate. I believe that the best veterinarian is one that can achieve a work/life balance and we work hard to ensure that all of our staff achieve that. As a mother myself, I am understanding of staff needs when it comes to their children and we are very flexible to allow for family time. I am proud of our team and looking forward to adding another member to our friendly family atmosphere.
