The Department of Clinical Sciences, Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks qualified candidates for a Clinical Track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in Dentistry at the Veterinary Health Center. The dentistry service provides general and advanced dental care for small animals. Service goals include teaching students and assisting in the development of their entry-level skills in dentistry while providing general and specialized oral care for our clients. The successful candidate will join a dentistry team that includes a primary care dental clinician undergoing advanced dental training, and 2 technicians with one credentialed as a specialty dental technician. The appointment will provide a pivotal role in this collegial faculty and staff community through the delivery of clinical service, clinical and didactic teaching. There is potential for primary care patient responsibilities depending on the interest of the candidate. Other responsibilities include occasional wet labs and outreach activities within the community or in regional communities to support the mission of the Veterinary Health Center. Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree. Preference will be given to candidates with additional training in dentistry, multiple years of clinical experience, internship training, or ABVP certification. Salary and rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications. Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine classes are composed of approximately 117 students annually.
