Companion Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced practice manager for our small animal general practice. We have been serving West Las Vegas at our current location for 18 years and are a private family practice. Responsibilities:
Day-to-day operations with a major focus on strong personnel management responsibilities including hiring, training, and development
Update practice website and social media and promote internal marketing programs to increase client-patient visitation rate
Initiate new programs and markets services through public relations campaigns
Review budgets, financial statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Set goals for hospital performance based on previous performance and mission/vision and helps design and implement strategies for meeting these goals.
Supervise usage of practice software to ensure that client records are entered consistently and correctly.
Monitor and report on accounts payable and receivable.
Establish an inventory control system to assure adequate stocks of supplies are available, plans for periodic audits and negotiates best prices.
Quality control checks and maintenance of systems and operations
Qualifications and Requirements:
Availability to work Monday-Saturday
2+ years of hospital management or supervisory experience in veterinary medicine
LVT preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Sound personal judgment in decision-making
Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels
Demonstrated competence in all aspects of staff management, including hiring and coaching
Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion
A commitment to outstanding client service
Must have strong capabilities in organization and prioritization, mathematical analysis (data management & interpretation, problem solving, and deductive reasoning), computer systems (we use Avimark), and the ability to both formulate plans for improvement on your own and in conjunction with the rest of the management team
