We are a 5 doctor practice with a small animal clinic and an ambulatory practice, serving clients and patients in both NH and VT. Located on the Connecticut River, close to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and just two hours from Boston, large lakes, and the ocean, our location provides endless possibilities for recreation in all seasons. We are also next door to Dartmouth College, a large medical facility, and excellent local theaters, restaurants, and cultural venues. This is a vibrant area with many small towns of different personalities, excellent schools, and family-based agriculture.
We are excited to welcome applications for a mixed animal practitioner to join our team. This position will involve large animal ambulatory calls and attending to dogs and cats at our clinic in Plainfield. The position has some flexibility in species focus; we also welcome those interested in predominantly small or large animal practice. The FT position includes a 4 day work week, shared large animal emergency duties (small animal emergencies are referred to a local 24 hour clinic), paid vacation, holidays and sick time. Also included is health insurance, liability insurance, 401K with employer contribution, license fees and AVMA dues, CE and other trainings.
Our mixed practice is split approximately 50:50 between large and small animal cases. Ambulatory calls are about 70% equine with dairy and small ruminants rounding out the majority of the remainder. Specialization in terms of species or discipline is encouraged within our team. We provide ambulatory vehicles, phone for clinic use, and all equipment needed. We have full in-house lab capabilities: blood work, urinalysis, fecal analysis, and cytology. We have mobile ultrasound units, computed in house and mobile radiography, digital mobile and dental x-ray, 1 meter fiber optic endoscope, and electronic medical records. Our technicians are well versed in all aspects of clinic operations and readily provide excellent support.

The successful applicant is an open and positive thinker, enjoys working with people, and is committed to life long learning. They must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or its equivalent, and are licensed/license eligible to practice in NH and VT.

Our ambulatory clinicians care for a wide variety of livestock, large companion animals, and many equine patients within a 40 mile radius of the clinic.
