The Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch is a privately owned hospital in the Sarasota/Bradenton, FL area. Our hospital has a General Practice consisting of 6 full time doctors, and a new growing Emergency & Specialty Center that opened in November of 2021. We located in a fast growing community where most clients can afford work ups and continued care for their pets. We are about 1 hour south of Tampa and approximately 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico.
We have an opening for Inventory/Finance Manager. This is a new position at our hospital. Responsibilities include inventory management (ordering and planning) for both the General Practice and the Emergency & Specialty Center. This person would also be responsible for checking invoices and charges for the Emergency hospital daily.
We have all the latest diagnostics and treatments in hospital (i.e. doppler and oscillometric BP, ICU oxygen unit, in house IDEXX blood and urine machines, full dentistry capabilities with a handheld dental X-ray, ultrasound, cardiopet, full anesthesia monitoring SPO2/CO2/HR/RR/Temp, defibrillator, digital x-ray, endoscopy, high flow oxygen and more). Our hospital is equipped with 7 exam rooms, a welcoming reception area, a surgery suite, a separate dental suite, an ultrasound room, ICU oxygen unit, separate isolation facilities, endoscopy, Vet Stem, and more. Our fully functioning in-house animal blood bank opened in November 2021. CT is coming soon. We also have an 11,996 sq ft expansion planned to start in 2023 with CT and more!
Our General Practice appointments are booked every 30 minutes to allow adequate time with each client/patient. Our Emergency Service opened in November 2021 and operates 24/7.
