The surgery center is adjacent to the animal shelter and you'll have the help of two assistants. CPHS is an open door shelter that takes in and cares for 1500+/- dogs, cats, rabbits and small animals each year. There is never an expiration date on any of our adoptable pets who remain in our care as long as they are physically and mentally healthy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Your main responsibility is to spay or neuter our shelter animals as well as tend to the health and well-being of the sick and injured on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for altering stray cats from our TNR program, dogs and cats from low income families through our Spay Days program, and animals from local rescue organizations as time allows. Other duties may include, but not limited to, dentals, mass removals, eye surgeries, and emergency care for injured animals.
We require a person who is flexible, has a positive attitude, a deep commitment to saving the lives of all animals that can be saved, and the ability to work well with others. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must.
