Lakes Area Veterinary Hospital is an established 2 doctor practice that has been providing high quality service to the community of Jasper, TX for over 40 years. Jasper is located in East Texas between Houston and Tyler and right next to the largest lake in Texas. As the area around Jasper has expanded, a need for a 3rd doctor has arisen. New graduate starting salary: $110,000 w/Prosal option

Practice type: Mixed Animal
Hospital: 6000 SQ FT with 7 exam rooms, 2 Surgery suites, Large treatment and prep area, Radiology room, Indoor AC/heated kennels, Isolation room, Large waiting room, Large covered barn with squeeze chute for cattle and Equine center with 2 stocks and a padded recovery stall.
Equipment: Heska Element HT5, Element DC and Element i; Idexx UA analyzer, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray, ISO and SEVO anesthesia, Electrocautery, Cryosurgery, Tonopen, IV pumps, Nasogastric scope and Computerized records.
Hours and Staff: Hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday with 4 day work week with shared on call work. On call work is shared equally on a 3 week rotation from 8 am to 10 pm with a 3 day work week (Friday off) after on call. Currently have 3 veterinarians, 1 office manager, 3 receptionists, 1 licensed veterinary technician, 7 veterinary assistants, and 3 kennel assistants.
Compensation: Salary commensurate upon experience/ plus collected Emergency fees, 2 weeks vacation, Health and liability insurance, Continuing education allowance, AVMA/TVMA dues, DEA, 401k, 2 Sick days per qtr, work vehicle for out call transportation.
