The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Office of New Animal Drug Evaluation (ONADE), Division of Generic Animal Drugs (DGAD) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Veterinary Medical Officer (VMO). DGAD evaluates generic new animal drugs across all dosage forms and veterinary species, as regulated under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), associated laws, and regulations. VMOs collect data and scientific information to support decisions, regulatory programs, and policies. VMOs advise CVM staff, FDA staff, and other relevant parties on veterinary medicine and public health policies, regulations, and procedures that impact generic animal drugs, foods, and devices.
