Tired of the daily caseload of vaccinations, but not quite ready for the variety of critical care cases? Animal Emergency Hospital , located in Bel Air, Maryland, is looking to hire an Urgent Care Veterinarian that focuses on non-critical cases that enter the emergency department.

This position will include care and services of non-critical care cases, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, bite wounds, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. Our goal is to provide Urgent Care services 7 days per week. The schedule will consist of shifts during peak hours, with no overnights! 

We are interested in speaking to new graduates, internship trained candidates and experienced GP or ER clinicians for part time or full time positions.

We are a 24 hour Emergency/Critical Care Practice that cares for small animals. We have a skilled support staff and a pleasant working environment. Our hospital offers 15,000 sq ft with 8 exam rooms and 2 surgical suites. We have specialized equipment, technology, and services such as:

• In house diagnostic testing and blood work including: CBC, Chemistry, Electrolytes, Urinaylsis, Fecal Analysis, PCV / TS, Canine 4Dx, CPL, Parvo, Feline Heartworm, Pancreatitis testing, FELV, FIV testing, etc.
• Other diagnostic testing: Blood pressure, EKG, Pulse Ox, Tonometry, etc.
• Endoscopy
• Digital X-rays
• Oxygen Cages
• Ventilators
• Neonatal incubator cage
• Large Intensive Care Units
• Cat only room
• Indoor exercise and walking area
• Ultrasound
• Emergency dental procedures
• Large pharmacy
• Multiple large surgical suites
• Isolation Wards
