Due to our significant growth, Humane Fort Wayne, an ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance affiliated clinic, is seeking a fifth, part time or full-time veterinarian in Fort Wayne, Indiana (recently named a Top Ten City for Quality of Life).
In addition to our animal shelter/adoption programs and progressive pet retention efforts, our mission is to prevent the suffering and euthanasia of cats and dogs due to overpopulation and preventable disease. We are the only clinic offering low cost spay/neuter and wellness services to all of Northeast Indiana as well as parts of Michigan and Ohio. Since opening our doors more than a decade ago, we have conducted well over 100,000 spay/neuter surgeries, and our walk-in wellness clinic has provided services to over 80,000 pets.
Our doctors are responsible for providing high-quality, high-volume dog and cat spay/neuter and wellness services alongside an entire team of dedicated vet techs and assistants. Candidates must have a strong desire to reduce companion animal overpopulation, support the concepts of progressive animal sheltering, possess a willingness to provide education on preventable diseases, and have the ability to maintain the highest standards in our field.
Our veterinarians typically only work Monday – Friday. We offer paid CE, conference travel, bonuses, paid time off, paid holidays, paid state and DEA licenses, health insurance, a retirement package, and more! Salary is highly competitive and is negotiable based on experience in high volume spay and neuter/ shelter medicine.
