Compassionate, progressive, and privately owned new small animal practice in Lafayette, Colorado is hiring an associate veterinarian.  Happy Paws Veterinary Hospital is patient focused; always seeing ourselves, first and foremost, through the eyes of our sweet patients.  We strive to make all visits happy and lessen fear and anxiety.  New client exams are one hour and most established patient exams are 40 minutes.  We are known for our expertise performing soft palate surgeries.  Pet parents bring their cute smushey faced babies to us from far and wide.  We also perform many other surgeries including gastropexy, entropion, cherry eye, anal sacculectomy and many more.  Dr. Wellman is the founder and owner of the practice and is eager to mentor a newer graduate.  She also would welcome an experienced veterinarian interested in making Happy Paws their long term clinic home.

Happy Paws has surgery specialists for our orthopedic surgeries who come to our office, as well as radiologist for ultrasounds, and internal medicine specialists for endoscopy.  

Happy Paws is newly renovated.  We are told often by clients that our practice is one of the most welcoming and beautiful animal hospitals they have ever seen.  We have a cat hotel upstairs and the veterinary practice is on the first floor, along with our kitty adoption area.  Happy Paws is happy to do discounted work for our local 501C3 rescue groups including kitties w FIP and dogs with heartworm disease pulled from high kill shelters usually located out of state. 

Happy Paws is looking for a veterinarian who is dedicated to continuing education;  educating clients by taking the time to time to discuss important topics such as behavior, bloat, diet, house training, ear cleaning;  sharing knowledge and training the team;  and always eager to research, consult, learn, and collaborate to provide each patient the most up to date care.
