Do you want to work at a practice that values your work/life balance, that prioritizes its employees, with no on-call? Do you want clients who will allow you to perform your recommended patient care with very little resistance? If you are looking for a positive and supportive work environment, then Highlands Animal Clinic is for you! We offer a unique, urban work environment in the heart of the Denver Highlands. Modern veterinary medicine with old-fashioned service.
We are looking for a full-time, experienced general practitioner, interested in a varied caseload, for our very busy general practice. We would for sure need someone on Mondays, Thursdays, and preferably two Saturdays per month (there may be some flexibility). One day will be surgery and dentistry. We partner with mobile specialists, including a board-certified cardiologist, radiologist and surgeon, to provide the latest and most up-to-date standards of care for our patients. We also provide in-house blood work, digital full-body and dental X-ray, laser therapy, CBD options, and acupuncture. Located in the heart of the highly desirable Highlands neighborhood, our unique practice is in a converted two- story Victorian, as well as a separate surgery/procedure suite in the bungalow next door. Established in 2013 by Dr. Allison Jenkins, Highlands Animal Clinic has become a beloved part of the local Highlands community.
Our team is collaborative, compassionate yet practical, and growing quickly. We appreciate and support our staff and doctors.
The emotional and physical wellbeing of our employees is important to us. We offer competitive salary, medical benefits (including health, dental and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, mentorship and so much more.
What we expect from you:
Proficient in Preventive Veterinary Care
Experience with elective surgeries, including spay, neuter, mass removal, other minor
procedures
Comfortable with dentistry, including extractions
Efficient medical case work-up
Compassionate client communication
Team-oriented value system and work ethic
DEA license preferred
Current CO DVM license
We would love to talk to you and determine whether Highlands Animal Clinic might be the next chapter in your veterinary career!
