LA Quality Pet Care (LAQPC) is a privately owned small animal practice looking to either build another lead veterinarian (and potentially a partner) or add an experienced veterinarian as a partner. The practice owner is skilled with a multitude of surgeries, and loves teaching. 

An ideal candidate is someone who has an interest in providing high-quality medicine and likes all parts of general practice: preventive care, diagnostics, surgery and dentistry. They should be highly motivated, either looking to potentially venture into hospital ownership or are interested in colleague support and training. 

LAQPC is a nurturing, educational and supportive environment with learning opportunities in all skills. Large mass removals necessitating flap advancement surgery, advanced dental techniques, splenectomy and liver lobectomies are but a few of the procedures you can get direct support performing. Hence new grads are definitely welcome to apply! The owner will also provide any business education needed to own your own practice such as vendor acquisition, management techniques, and financial literacy. 

For this lead position, we skip the sign-on bonus and focus on a competitive salary and an agreed future compensation to account for what others offer for associate positions (401k matching, vacation/sick leave, etc). In other words, we offer a brighter, more flexible future to grow as we grow. 

The clinic has been in the community for over 50 years and has both a very loyal client base as well as a continuous stream of new clients. Nestled in the small city of La Puente in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley, LA Quality Pet Care is a single-veterinarian owned practice. After a fairly new change of ownership, it is now gaining traction and becoming increasingly busy as one of the only practices offering flexible walk-ins and urgent care services in the area.

Salary based on experience, ability to assure highest quality of care, and level of independent work.
