The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology, in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University is offering a post-DVM graduate training position in anatomic pathology.  The successful candidate will support pathology review of the Morris Animal Golden Retriever Lifetime Study in addition to routine diagnostic necropsy and biopsy service and residency training.  The MAF-GRLS is a unique prospective study and excellent training opportunity, https://www.morrisanimalfoundation.org/golden-retriever-lifetime-study.  Due to the demand of the study, we are aiming to overlap the current MAF-GRLS resident with the incoming resident to facilitate adequate training. The program is designed to culminate in specialty board certification.  Residency training is facilitated by a diverse faculty, 27 of whom are ACVP, ACVM or ACLAM board certified.  The three year residency training program includes a stipend of approximately $54,000/year with benefits and is supported by a training grant.  Benefits include health insurance and retirement plan.  Applicants must have minimum of a DVM or equivalent degree from a College of Veterinary Medicine/equivalent and successful completion of a PhD is preferred. This position is in addition to the traditional anatomic pathologist training positions offered at CSU and thus the start date for this program is flexible between July 1, 2024 and Jan 1, 2025.
