The Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital team is looking for intelligent and enthusiastic individuals for full-time and part-time positions for a combination role as a Veterinary Technician/ Client Service Representative.

Our team dedicates itself to providing exceptional care for companion animals and their owners. Our facility uses Idexx veterinary care products to provide the best possible care to our animal patients. These products include Cornerstone management software, a state-of-the-art digital whole body, dedicated dental radiography, point-of-care Ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and daily lab pick-up and delivery to Idexx's referral laboratory. Our veterinarians perform both soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental procedures routinely.

At Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital, we prioritize a healthy work-life balance for our team. All veterinary staff members rotate positions with their coworkers as Veterinary Technicians and Client Service Representatives. Our hours of operation are from 7:30 AM to evening on weekdays and Saturday mornings until noon; closed on Sundays and major holidays. We refer After-hour emergencies to clinics within less than an hour's drive.

Responsibilities include:

Technician duties: assisting with outpatient appointments, drawing blood, performing in-house laboratory tests, taking radiographs, intravenous catheter placement in dogs and cats, prepping patients for surgical procedures, monitoring and assisting with anesthesia and surgery, and filling prescriptions;

Client Service responsibilities: client relations (greeting clients, checking in clients and their pets), record keeping, telephone and computer communication with clients, filing records, and filling prescriptions;

Cleaning: facility and kennel upkeep shared by all staff.
