Join a fantastic AAHA-accredited and AAFP-certified cat friendly practice at Southwind Animal Hospital (Memphis, Tennessee) in providing comprehensive, compassionate care to our loyal clients and their companions.  We are looking for an additional veterinarian to be a part of our amazing team, either part time or full-time! 

Our hospital currently includes two veterinarians with over a decade in practice each and a team of dedicated, skilled veterinary technicians and assistants. Our current DVM team has a strong interest in dentistry, behavior, and internal medicine - doctors are encouraged to pursue their areas of interest and work up cases thoroughly in-house, while knowing that specialist referral is easily accessible for those challenging cases.  New graduates are welcome to apply!

Most of our staff members have been with us for many years; we have a strong, collaborative culture and work to make every member of the team feel valued. Work-life balance is important to us, and we are successful at ending our days on time and willing to be flexible with scheduling so that every team member stays fresh and engaged. Typical DVM:Assistant ratio is 1:2 meaning that you can focus on examining, diagnosing and prescribing while your support team completes workups.

A full-time position includes a four day per week schedule and rotating Saturdays (1 in 3)

A part-time position could be arranged for two to three days per week and rotating Saturdays (1 in 3)

DVMs are "on call" for issues with in-clinic boarding patients only, for the duration of the weekend following their Saturday shift.

A medical director option can be negotiated for experienced DVMs with an interest in a leadership role
