We are not just looking for an Associate Veterinarian – we’re searching for someone committed to practicing progressive and team-oriented medicine!
Avon Animal Hospital has served the Northeastern Ohio and greater Cleveland area since 1973. As a result, we have a loyal and dedicated clientele who trust us to care for their beloved pets. Although we primarily focus on canine and feline care, we previously provided services to avian and exotic patients. Any interest in that regard would be a huge plus!
At Avon, you can expect to work with two experienced DVM’s and a wonderful group of support staff. We have a wide array of equipment and tools available as well, including ultrasound, digital radiography (full body and dental), in-house Abaxis lab, and electrocautery. We are currently providing 30-minute curbside appointments in addition to our surgical and dental procedures. While we would also welcome an experienced veterinarian, we can provide support and mentorship to a new graduate!
Our practice is open six days a week (closed Sundays), with dentals and surgeries scheduled during the weekdays only. Ideally, our new Associate would have a four-day work week with consistent Saturdays, though we would be open to discussing alternatives that work well for you and the hospital. We are also proud to offer full benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability), 401(k) with match, CE stipend, paid time off, licensure/dues coverage, and so much more!

All applications will be kept confidential and we would love to hear from you!
Blue River PetCare's mission is to provide a long-term home for local practices that selling owners have worked so hard to build. We are dedicated to retaining the culture of each of our hospitals in addition to the local practice of medicine. We do this by ensuring each hospital has complete medical autonomy with their choice of protocols, therapies, inventory items, vendors and even management software. We also focus on our employees’ health and well-being as much as we do the pets we treat. We would love to hear from you!
