Dunedin Animal Medical Center is a 13-year-old hospital that serves the higher socio-economic community of Dunedin, Florida.

The population of Dunedin is primarily made up of retirees who love their pets.  Our hospital sees dogs and cats, but occasionally we’ll get a ferret, sugar glider, rabbit or pig.  Someone brought in a baby raccoon a couple of weeks ago that one of our techs is now rehabbing.  A couple of our techs a wildlife rehabilitators, but this is not something we advertise.

We have 2 hospitals about 25 minutes from each other and a couple of our doctors like balancing their schedules between the two:

• DAMC is busier, with sometimes 2 and maybe even 3 doctors on the schedule, with 2 to 3 techs per doctor, 2 to 3 receptionists and a client concierge who makes calls throughout the day to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Community Animal Hospital is a little slower with usually just one doctor on the schedule, but there is room for 2, on scheduled surgery days.

Each hospital has 6 large exam rooms with lift tables in each, digital X-rays, digital dental x-rays, Mindray M-6 ultrasound, 3 to 5 anesthesia machines, triage area and DAMC has a 100-run kennel for small to extra Large dogs.
