Commission Veterinarian (Exempt Position)
Closing Date: March 31, 2024 The Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission is accepting resumes for employment for Commission Veterinarian. This employee examines horses in the morning on rounds and on the race track during the afternoon. Duties of the Commission Veterinarian include but not limited to: The Commission Veterinarian observes horses during training, conducts pre-race examinations on horses scheduled to race and helps maintain commission files documenting examination history of horses running at Delaware Park. Observe horses running on the racetrack during the afternoon and attend injured horses if necessary; In the event of an injury, immediately make an assessment and stabilize the horse if possible.
