Practice Highlights

Our team of two doctors is supported by a staff of 16 with a doctor to support staff ratio of 6-7 to 1, you can diagnose and treat patients efficiently while allowing time to properly work up cases and collaborate with clients.

Our independent veterinary practice is privately owned and proud to be non-corporate.

We have a brand new state-of-the-art 8,000sqft hospital with an impressive list of modern equipment as well as a new rehab wing and platelet-rich plasma.

About You

You are a practicing or soon to be practicing veterinarian, licensed in good standing or with the ability to get licensed in the state of Iowa.  You are committed to lifelong learning and practicing high quality cutting edge evidenced based medicine.  Surgical skills are a plus but not required.  You should be a good communicator and open to learning from our amazing team.  If you have a specific interest you would like to develop that is wonderful and will be encouraged as we are always looking to expand services to our incredible clients.

Our full time staff currently consists of 2 veterinarians with 20+ years of combined experience, 2 currently licensed Technician with 2 additional Technicians currently working on licensing, 6 assistants, 4 receptionists, an office manager, and a practice manager.  This diverse group comes together to form our Elk Creek Family and they can’t wait to bring you into the fold.

Elk Creek Animal Hospital is a long standing private independently owned practice that has been around for more than 50 years serving the Sioux City and surrounding area.  We have beautiful brand new 8000sqft facility that was just completed in June 2023.  We have all the great bells and whistles for equipment and are always ready to invest in our clinical capabilities and would be delighted to add services if you possess unique skills.
