About the area: The Midland/Odessa area has much to offer when you look past just what meets the eye. It is located just halfway between El Paso and Dallas, and is not far from Amarillo, San Antonia, and Austin. It is also just a short 4-hour drive from the Ruidoso Ski Resort and many lakes. If you enjoy sports, there are many local football games, minor league baseball games, and NAHL hockey leagues to both attend and participate in. The Midland/ Odessa area has many assortments of museums to check out. Midland is home to the I-20 wildlife preserve, the Sibley nature center, the Wagner Noel Performing arts Center where you can see many different varieties of entertainment. Many families have chosen the suburb of Greenwood with the Greenwood ISD schools for smaller class sizes and a great education.
