New England Animal Medical Center (NEAMC) in West Bridgewater, MA, is expanding its emergency and critical care services, and we are looking to add more experienced, friendly, and collaborative doctors with a passion for emergency medicine.
We have full-time positions available with flexible scheduling. As we expand services back to 24/7, our ER doctors will rotate through all shift types. We also can offer an overnight-only option with a more consistent and predictable scheduling, if desired.
If you are an experienced emergency or internship-trained veterinarian looking for a new opportunity to grow and expand your medicine, we would love to speak with you!
New Medical Director
We are thrilled to announce our new Medical Director, Dr. Jolene Babyak, MS, DVM, DACVECC! As a Tufts alum, boarded Criticalist, and experienced hospital leader, Dr. Babyak has spent her career advancing veterinary medicine in New England. We are excited to expand our ECC department under her leadership!
NEAMC Expansion
We have recently separated out our specialty and emergency services from the primary care branch, which has moved across the street. This has allowed us the opportunity to not only renovate and upgrade our building and equipment, but also to expand our specialty and emergency footprint.
This shift provides an exciting opportunity to bring on more team members, in both specialty and emergency, with a passion to grow and expand their medicine and services. Whether that looks like an emergency veterinarian seeking additional surgical training, having a dedicated soft tissue surgery day per week, adding services like exotics or acupuncture, pursuing the guided or self-paced path to ABVP, teaching externs, collaborating with specialists, or exploring Ethos’s Veterinary Science Consultancy or Ethos Discovery… we invite you to come grow with us and lean into what inspires you!
About Our Team
Our emergency doctors work with receiving and inpatient care, and some enjoy cutting soft tissue surgery cases. We also have the support of our in-house specialty surgeons, Dr. Trey Townsend and Dr. Lindsey Lavin, and we enjoy a close partnership with a broad range of specialists within the Ethos network in the greater Boston area.
We have friendly and well-trained support staff, with several credentialed technicians including Jaime Maher, CVT, VTS (ECC, Anesthesia), who is our Technician Training Manager. Our Hospital Director, Rebecca Schmitt, who is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, drives our commitment to team wellness and work-life balance.
Benefits
All full-time employees at NEAMC enjoy access to comprehensive benefits plans including health, vision, dental, and life insurance; PLIT; CE time and stipend; vacation and sick time; 401k with employer match; access to over 50 veterinary journals; and opportunities for advancement and growth.
We offer a competitive base salary with production, as well as attractive sign-on, relocation, and retention bonuses. We are excited to invest in growing NEAMC’s ER team, and we would love to discuss how we can partner with and support our new team members.
