Animal Hospital of Palm Bay is a thriving, forward thinking small animal veterinary hospital in the heart of Florida’s Space Coast. We are looking for a full or part-time Small Animal Veterinarian to join our team in a community that genuinely values and appreciates your skills. We have grown into a newly constructed, state of the art 5,200 sq foot free-standing building by providing meaningful, value added, and compassionate care. Being located in a beautiful and vibrant part of Florida with miles of free beach access, participation in rocket launches, and A+ schools all add to the joy of providing and practicing the medicine that we love.
As a privately owned and operated veterinary hospital, we have created a culture that is patient, client, and team focused. Providing a schedule that allows for a fantastic work life balance is very important to us, thus we currently maintain a 4 day work week with rotating Saturdays. There are no after-hours emergency cases. We empower and fully utilize our team of skilled and knowledgeable support staff to best allow our doctors to provide high quality care in a supportive environment.
Animal Hospital of Palm Bay is well resourced including but not limited to ultrasound, class 4 therapy laser, in house digital radiology, full in-house Idexx laboratory, and separate surgical and dental suites. We welcome both experienced Veterinarians and newly graduated Veterinarians looking for a mentored and supportive start. We all continue to learn and grow in our practice of medicine, doing it together is a privilege. As valued members of our practice candidates will:
Communicate in clear, relatable, and caring terminology
Provide physical examinations, diagnose and treat diseases, provide preventative care, and maintain medical records according to hospital guidelines.
Perform anesthesia, routine soft surgeries, and dental procedures including but not limited to: canine and feline spays and neuters, mass removals, dental cleaning and prophylaxis, and simple and complex extractions
Be compassionate and sympathetic, and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations
Maintain and persist in their desire to learn and expand skills and knowledge and be willing to grow and accept changes in techniques and treatments
Work with the team and support staff to continue our supportive culture
Our offer
Full time offer $110,000-$150,000 base salary negotiable depending upon experience, with $5,000 signing bonus (part time would be adjustable to days laid out in plan upon discussion)
