Are you searching for a privately owned practice where you are supported and your input is valued, where staff is dedicated, collaborative and hard-working? If so, we have what you're looking for!
Located near the beautiful University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, our progressive, multi-doctor, small animal practice is seeking an additional full-time veterinarian. Our AAHA-accredited clinic is currently celebrating its 34thanniversary and has a loyal, educated clientele. Professional education and personal development are highly encouraged, and as a result we have excellent staff retention.
We offer a competitive salary along with a signing bonus when the first year’s contract is signed and finalized. We offer continuing education, professional liability and membership dues and other benefits. We support work-life balance with referral of after hour emergencies and are close to high quality specialists. Our practice utilizes dental radiography, digital x-rays, electronic medical records, in-house CBC/chemistry, ultrasound machine, weekly in-house radiologist, and phone consultations with specialists. Our veterinarians’ growth is supported with weekly rounds, a technician assigned to a doctor each day, and a collaborative atmosphere.
Additionally, we continually seek ways to improve the veterinary experience for our clients. With our certification in Low Stress Handling, designation as a Cat Friendly Practice, and as a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), we focus on creating a comfortable environment so all of our patients will want to come back and see us for life-long care. Come and join our exciting team!
The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate: skill and interest in internal medicine cases, care and compassion with excellent communication skills, experience handling priority and emergency cases; skill in soft-tissue surgery and dentistry; and ability to serve as both a leader and a team player. While experience is preferred, new graduates will be considered. Full time is preferred, but part time will be considered.
