Greetings Hello, this is Warm Springs Pet Hospital. We are seeking a full or part-time veterinarian to join our thriving, 8-doctor hospital in south Fremont.
Our Values Our focus is to build long-term client relationships, maintain an excellent local reputation, help as many pets as possible, and have fun doing it!
About Us We are an 8 year old clinic located in south Fremont, just 15 minutes north of San Jose. We're easy to get to from both I680 and I880. Clients and staff typically come from the east bay, south bay, and peninsula areas. Since starting up, we've been lucky to be one of the highest-rated clinics in the bay area. We've grown quickly from word-of-mouth, reputation, and the variety of interesting procedures that some of our doctors perform here. We use Avimark practice management software and have: digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, GE Versana ultrasound, Bovie electrocautery (x3), endoscopy, surgical laser, Tonovet and full in-house IDEXX labs. We are not a corporate hospital. We make clinic decisions based on what our team needs to do well and what's best for the long-term success of the practice - not the short-term profit metrics that many corporate hospitals focus on. What that means for an associate veterinarian is that: we have a good staff/doctor ratio, we invest strongly in training and development, and we have all the equipment that a vet could ever ask for.
Compensation We offer a competitive base salary along with quarterly production bonuses and there is no negative accrual to our bonus system. All of our veterinarians earn a bonus, even those less than 1 year out of school. So, our bonus system is very real and generous. Depending on your experience level and the types of procedures that you are comfortable performing or learning from us over time, your total compensation would likely be on the higher end for pay in the bay area. If your plan is to find a place to plant roots and find a "forever home" clinic to stick with over long-term, then we are the place for you.
Benefits Generous discretionary/CE allowance to use as you see fit (airfare, hotel, conferences, labs, books, membership dues, license fees, etc.). Health Insurance. Paid time off. 401k matching. Generous pet care discounts.
Great Experience Staffing: You'll always be working alongside 5 to 6 other doctors each day. This allows you collaborate and discuss your cases with your coworkers, and also learn a variety of new procedures and skills, if you have that desire. We also have ample support staff so that you can focus on being a veterinarian and not a glorified technician. Schedule: 1) Your daily schedule is either 100% surgery or 100% appointments. That way, you don't have to worry about finishing spays in time for afternoon appointments. 2) Our last scheduled appointment starts 90 minutes before closing. That way, you can complete you exams, handle all your charts and call-backs, and head home on time each day. 3) Each doctor is in control of their daily schedule. Feel free to set aside time to catch up, or perform a procedure, or scrub-in or learn from another veterinarian. New Procedures: Some of our veterinarians are highly experienced in orthopedic and other advanced procedures. Our office has performed over 2,000 TPLOs as well as many hundred fracture repairs and other similar surgeries. If you have an interest in expanding your surgery skills, you won't find a better place to work. But, if your interests are in other areas, we'd be happy to help accommodate that.
What We Want We hire based on personality, rather than just resume. We're looking for someone who likes to have fun at work, gets along well with others, and is comfortable working in a larger group setting. We're equally ok with experienced veterinarians as well as newer graduates. If you are an experienced doctor, you'll be happy with us because we don't micromanage and we offer a high enough volume so that you can focus on a special interest. If you are a new graduate, we've got a ton of experience mentoring newer vets and helping them develop confidence and independence.
