As a privately owned practice, we maintain a personal touch and commitment to our community. With a focus on personalized care and a dedication to excellence, we strive to provide the best possible health care for companion animals.

Company History

Redwood Veterinary Hospitalhas a rich history of providing exceptional veterinary care to the community. Established in 1982 by Doctors Charles and Max Hymas, the hospital was built on a foundation of compassion and excellence in animal healthcare. Over the years, it has grown to become a trusted name for pet owners seeking high-quality services. Today, the hospital remains in the same location and is privately owned by Dr. Gina Hanfland.

In 1996, Redwood Veterinary Hospital achieved accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This prestigious recognition reflects the hospital's commitment to adhering to rigorous standards of veterinary excellence across areas such as patient care, surgery, diagnostics, and cleanliness. Less than 15% of veterinary hospitals in North America meet these stringent requirements, making AAHA accreditation a mark of distinction.

Dr. Gina Hanfland joined the practice in 2003, bringing her expertise and passion for veterinary medicine to the team. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, Dr. Hanfland has special interests in dentistry and exotic pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and ferrets. After a decade of dedicated service, she purchased the hospital in 2013, assuming ownership and continuing the legacy of outstanding care established by its founders.

Today, under Dr. Hanfland's leadership, Redwood Veterinary Hospital remains committed to delivering top-tier veterinary services while fostering strong relationships with clients and their pets.
