Description
Mixed Animal Veterinarian – Future Practice Ownership Opportunity
Chautauqua Lake Region | Western New York
If you’re an early-career or experienced veterinarian looking for more than just a
job—and instead want a clear path to practice ownership—this is a rare opportunity to
step into a well-established, profitable mixed animal practice in one of the most scenic
regions of western New York.
Located near the shores of Chautauqua Lake, our practice has been a trusted part of
the community for over 35 years. Originally built on a strong foundation of dairy and
equine medicine, the practice has evolved alongside the region and now operates with
a growing emphasis on small animal care, while still maintaining meaningful large
animal and equine services—including work within the local Amish community.
This is a true “lifestyle practice” with significant upside.
About the Practice
This solo-doctor practice is a community-focused, quality mixed practice with
tremendous growth potential. Our companion animal practice focuses on wellness, sick
pet visits and routine surgeries, with large animal focus on herd health.
Diagnostics are minimal by design, with referrals utilized when appropriate. For a
veterinarian interested in expanding services, there is substantial opportunity to grow
the practice into a more full-service hospital.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is not just an associate position—it’s a mentorship-driven role with a clear and
supported transition into ownership. Ideal for a veterinarian who wants to build equity,
shape the future of a practice, and become deeply rooted in a community.
The Team & Facility
You’ll work alongside an experienced owner, a dedicated full-time office manager, and a
part-time assistant. The clinic is centrally located, easily accessible, and uniquely
positioned at the end of a quiet road that leads directly to the lake—offering both
convenience and charm.
The Lifestyle
Western New York offers an exceptional quality of life:
Affordable cost of living
Excellent schools
Four-season outdoor recreation (boating, fishing, hiking, skiing)
Close proximity to shopping, dining, and major travel routes
Whether you enjoy quiet lake living or an active outdoor lifestyle, this area offers the
best of both worlds for individuals and families alike.
