Guardian would love to welcome a Veterinary Student Ambassador to our team who will engage and connect with veterinary students at Cornell University. This ambassador serves as the first line of communication between Guardian Veterinary, the veterinary students and faculty at your school. This position involves hosting educational & networking events, emailing the student body, and communicating with our University Relations Team.

Our goal is to highlight how Guardian Veterinary supports veterinarians to practice their best medicine in a positive environment, continually grow, receive mentoring, all while focusing on a balanced life.

Student Ambassador Responsibilities

Communication

• With students and faculty: send emails to student body and faculty with invitations to lunch or dinner meetings, updates on wellness and networking events, externships, internships, and job openings
• With Guardian Veterinary: establish regular communication checkpoints with your Guardian Veterinary Relations Partner so that we can stay up to date on your happenings and you on our 

Events

• Coordinate meetings and networking events in partnership with our Guardian Veterinary Relations Team
• Ex: lunch and learns, happy hours, and dinners   

Student Engagement

• Circulate Guardian Veterinary directed communication about our newest programs and opportunities
• Answer any questions your peers have about Guardian Veterinary (with support from your Guardian Veterinary Relations Partner)
• Recruit 1-4VM Externs, 4th year interviewees, and potential Interns.

Compensation and time commitment: 

• $1,500/year stipend OR pro-rated based on start date
• Commitment Timeframe: 1- 2 years, unless otherwise agreed
• MANDATORY Orientation: Brewster, NY
• Application is open to 2nd & 3rd year veterinary students
