Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate and collaborative  Veterinarian to join our team in San Francisco. This is a full-time (4 or 5 days a week), on-site role with regular coverage needed on Mondays and at least 3 Saturdays a month. Healthy Pets is a well-established small animal practice that combines conventional and integrative veterinary medicine in a supportive, client-focused environment. We are looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality patient care, strong client communication, and working closely with an experienced veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in dogs and cats
• Perform routine wellness exams and preventative care services
• Administer vaccinations and prescribe medications as needed
• Perform surgical procedures if comfortable doing so
• Communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans, preventative care, and overall pet wellness
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
• Collaborate with the veterinary and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
• Uphold a strong commitment to animal welfare and evidence-based veterinary medicine

Requirements

• D.V.M. or V.M.D. degree from an accredited institution
• Active California veterinary license in good standing
• Experience in small animal medicine preferred
• Surgery experience is welcomed but not required
• Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions
• Strong preventative care skills, including wellness exams and vaccinations
• Excellent communication and client education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a medium-paced clinical environment
